My name is Trey Hedrick. I'm 28 years old and I live in Newton, North Carolina. I have always been fascinated by martial arts. When I was 11 I began my martial arts journey by taking Tang Soo Do. I trained for 4 years and reached my 1st gup (advanced red belt). I won the 2003 and 2004 World Tae Kwon Do National Championship in my underbelt division in Forms, and Grand Championship in Sparring. I competed and won gold at the World Tae Kwon Do Federation 20th Anniversary Martial Arts Open Championships. I left the Tang Soo Do Dojang when I was 15 before I received my black belt due to personal reasons In 2016 I came back to train with Hanshi Armstrong. I completed my life long goal and earned my Shodan in January of 2018, and it was the proudest moment of my life. As I continue training I hope to be able to contribute my knowledge as well as grow as a martial artist, instructor, and human being. Martial Arts has helped me become who I am today and helps me on my continuing journey of knowledge. Update Trey recently tested and acquired his 2nd Degree Black Belt in American Ching Sai Do in January of 2019
